Vietnam Shipbuilding Industry Corporation is one of largest State owned Corporation to be established under Decision No. 69/TTg issued on 31 January, 1996 by Prime Minister of Vietnam Government based on Vietnam Shipbuilding Union established on 1972.
Vietnam Shipbuilding Industry Corporation has 52 subsidiaries in which 20 Shipyards, 32 Companies with about 15,000 employees of abundant and skilled labor force, we have the shares in 4 other Join-venture Companies including the biggest Shipyard in the Southeast Asia HYUNDAI-VINASHIN JV Shipyard with an investment capital of nearly US$ 160 million and capable for dry-dock all kind of vessel up to 400,000 DWT.
VINASHIN's Subsidiaries are located through North to South of Vietnam.
In order to step- in to the international market, Vinashin also has established representative offices in Germany, Holland, Poland, Russia, Australia, Korea, Iraq and the USA.
